Please be advised that the Shade Tree Commissions’s regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 has been canceled.
We are looking for input to determine color combinations for the new courts. Construction of the new basketball court and two pickleball courts at Hasbrouck Park on Elting Avenue in front of St Joseph’s Church should be complete later this summer. However, we need help choosing paint colors.
We are forming a 7-person committee of NPHS students who will decide on the final color combination. Consider questions like:
– Will the bball and pickleball courts be the same color?
– Will the pickleball kitchen be a different color from the rest of its court?
– Will the bball lane and center court circle be different colors?
– Should all three courts, and out of bounds areas, all be painted just one color like yellow or dove grey?
– Do we use a total of 1, 2, 3, or 4 colors?
Please send your design idea (description + illustration) to mayor@villageofnewpaltz.gov so we may share with the NPHS student committee as soon as possible.
